We are still researching the company, Optigan. We do know that they were a US company out of Compton California, and then later Pennsylvania. The idea behind their instrument, the Music Maker was later sold to Mattel (that's right the large US toy manufacturer) who made a similar instrument (smaller and simpler) called the "Optigon" (with an "o" instead of an "a"), thousands of which were sold. But as for who started the company, where they got the idea, and so forth, we are still looking.
